CLEANTECH VENTURE DAY

LONDON

This year, we’re kicking off London Climate Action Week with a day built for the people pushing climate tech forward. The focus will be on the companies and technologies that have deep scientific or engineering research at the core.

Cleantech Venture Day (CVD) started in London, which remains the flagship of the series.

It now runs across London, Paris and Amsterdam as part of the Climate Tech SuperCluster, the ecosystem connecting some of the most active climate tech communities in the UK and Europe. What began as a single event has grown into something the region was missing — a shared stage for the founders, investors and others who are actually moving the needle on climate.

Each year we bring together a carefully selected group of pitching companies alongside the investors, corporates and partners drawn from across the network. The format is intentionally focused — this isn't a big conference, and that's the point. The people in the room are there because they want to be, and the conversations that happen on the day have a habit of turning into something real.

Meet the speakers

We're looking for companies working on the hard problems.

That means founders building in areas like energy systems and grid infrastructure, industrial decarbonisation, advanced materials, thermal management and resource efficiency. That said, climate tech is moving fast and sometimes the most interesting companies don't fit neatly into a category. But if your technology has genuine technical depth and a credible path to real-world impact, we want to hear from you.

*Applications are now closed, and we’re looking forward to experiencing all of the selected companies.

“Cleantech Venture Day was a great opportunity for Nanoplume. We connected with a global specialty chemicals company focused on advanced materials, which has since led to ongoing discussions, a potential joint development agreement, and engagement with their corporate venture arm. A very valuable outcome for us.”

Co-founder & CEO, Nanoplume

More than just a map

This isn’t just a nice idea on a map. It’s already one of the world’s most powerful climate tech ecosystems.

What you’re looking at is a collection of some of the world’s most prolific climate tech clusters. What’s special is that they’re all reachable within four hours by train from London.

Within this region, you’ll find a critical mass of world-leading universities, ambitious climate investors, deep tech hubs, and some of Europe’s most forward-thinking cities: Cambridge, Paris, Cologne, Amsterdam, Antwerp, London, Eindhoven, Charleroi, Oxford. The list goes on.

We don’t believe the world needs another isolated innovation district or local hub. What it does need is a joined-up ecosystem that moves at the speed of the climate crisis.

An ecosystem where founders, researchers, investors, corporates, and governments collaborate across borders to scale solutions that work.

This is the ecosystem we’re building. We call it the Climate Tech SuperCluster.
