Web: https://brillpower.com/

Contact: Peter Freedman

Email: peter.freedman@brillpower.com

Brill Power is a spin-out of Oxford University revolutionising energy storage through its pioneering battery intelligence platform. The end-to-end solution to battery management uses patented active loading technology, enabling up to 60% longer battery lifetime, extracting up to 46% more energy from aged batteries. Every 100kWh stationary energy storage system that uses our Battery Management System could reduce CO² emissions by up to 27.8 tonnes.

Cambridge Carbon Capture

TRL 6 | Seed | Cambridge (UK)

Web: https://www.co2loc.com/

Contact: Craig Webster, craig.webster@co2loc.tech

Cambridge Carbon Capture's Hybrid Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology offers parallel pathways to remove carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Active, or engineered, DAC uses capital plant and energy to capture CO2 for storage or utilization. Additionally, the active plant manufactures absorbents for Passive DAC methods such as ocean alkalinity enhancement and accelerated weathering, which draw CO2 directly from the atmosphere and chemically sequester it in natural sinks.

CapChar

TRL 6-7 | Seed | Oxford (UK)

Web: https://capchar.com/

Contact: Adam Samuel - adam@capchar.com

Chintan Mahida - chintan@capchar.com

CapChar is scaling ‘Made-in-the-UK’ production of biochar carbon removal, responsible for 89% of global voluntary carbon removals. CapChar's end-to-end solution bridges the technology gap to pioneer a UK ‘carbon economy’. Our distributed network of pyrolysis plants drives commercial biochar usage in agriculture through soil carbon storage to deliver scaled onshore carbon removal and natural capital asset restoration.
